Pregnant and your choice

Now what. In a foreign country and pregnant. If you got pregnant and didn’t plan to be, your world may turn upside down. Suddenly, you’re faced with a difficult choice. Do you want to keep the baby? Or do you opt for an abortion? And you may have many other questions, such as: Do I really want this? How do I make my boundaries clear to a man? Can I handle a pregnancy in this difficult situation? How do I make ends meet? How do I tell my boyfriend or husband? All questions that you may find difficult to answer.

It’s important to take the time and think about this carefully, so you make an informed decision. At Siriz, we want to help you do just that. We guide you in making your personal choice. You can call, e-mail, chat or WhatsApp us to tell us what’s on your mind or ask a question. You can also talk to us personally. These consultations are entirely voluntary. During such a consultation, we help you find answers to your questions. The consultations are free of charge and can be arranged within 48 hours (excluding holidays and weekends).

Consultations to deal with an unplanned pregnancy

In consultations, you and a social worker from Siriz list the possible choices and their consequences. This way, you’ll have a better understanding of your situation. For example, we’ll be talking about what’s on your mind and what your heart says. They sometimes contradict each other. We’ll also pay attention to problems that existed before your pregnancy or that were caused by your pregnancy, for example, in your relationship or because of the situation you are now in.

Making your own choice in an unplanned pregnancy

The decision you make will determine what your future will look like. That’s why we think it’s important that you make a choice that you can support all the way. The social worker always takes your questions, doubts and the choice you make seriously. We’ll never tell you what to do. We offer guidance in making an independent choice. Contact us by clicking one of the buttons below.

In its care, Siriz takes mother, father and child into account. Your boyfriend, partner or parents can be involved in the consultations, if you so wish.
